Beautiful fish and chips in a lovely village surrounding. The staff were very kind and helpful and the prices were reasonable. We even bought one of their award winning pies to try back at home.
Best pies I have ever had! Stopped off here two years ago but they were out of pies. I now know why. We are staying in Stanhope but drove over the the chippy today and I am so glad we did. Superb meat packed steak and kidney pie and lovely chips. My only slight criticism is the pies could have done with being hotted but they still tasted great. I wish you were near to our home rather than just a holiday treat.

Best fish and chips i've had in a long while. The Haddock was fried to perfection, the batter light, crispy and tasty. Lovely tasty proper chips as well. Full and content, i'm going for a lay down.
This has to be the best chippy in the UK We've been on numerous occasions and always fish cooked to perfection in crisp batter and perfectly cooked chips, all served by friendly staff - just a pity that we live so far away !

we called in on a motorcycle ride out - the staff were great and very friendly you’ll need to be patient as our fish was cooked to order the fish was piping hot when served, the batter was superb - the portions are huge too! Recommended
